Aah….looking back through this shoot, I’m reminded of how much fun this was. Like….SO fun. However…before I jump too far ahead, I want to share a little background here.
Back in 2009, my oldest daughter started Kindergarten….and when I arrived for our orientation & listened to her amazing teacher to be, I knew this was going to be a great year. I also knew that I instantly adored her, and that she was someone who I’d want to call my friend. And I was right….was a fabulous year it was!! At that time, we chatted about all sorts of things…I knew she was someone special, and she was just waiting for that special person.
Fast forward a couple of years….I heard through the grapevine of mutual friends that she had met someone. Rumor was….not just someone….but THE ONE. I instantly wrote her to confirm this information. :) Her response? Yes!! I’ve met someone, he’s tall, dark and handsome, and he IS the one. Their engagement created such a buzz of excitement around our community, the school, and mutual friends…..Miss Morris is getting MARRIED!!! And I have to say, after hearing about Michael over many months and then meeting him in person….I knew why her face lit up when she talked about him…..they are absolutely, without a doubt, the perfect match!
So, considering all of this….I think it’s pretty clear why I was soooo excited to shoot their engagement session! They are getting married at Chamber’s Bay, which seemed like the perfect place to head for their shoot!
One of the best parts? Michael used to caddy at Chamber’s Bay (before he got picked up and started touring with the PGA!) so he showed us some normally off-limits locations for us to go….including the 18th tee! As someone who is always scouting new locations and perspectives…..I was almost jumping up & down with excitement!
Ellie & Michael….I absolutely adore both of you and wish you so much happiness!! xoxo
