Whew. I did it!!! Updated my portfolio/galleries (check), redesigned my website (check), start blogging for the new year ….well, as of today I can say “check!” To be honest, this is a little nerve-wracking for me….a little intimidating to have a format to keep up on, but on the other hand….I am so excited to have a platform where I can not only share my most recent work, but to have an opportunity to share more details about my sessions, my awesome clients…and well, my life in general! My creative outlet has always been through words and pictures…..and I’m pretty excited to have a chance to pull it all together with my new site. I hope you’ll join me in this journey!!
I’ve been thinking so much about the sense of a fresh start for the new year, and a moment to pause after the craziness of the holidays….and as I move forward, I keep thinking about how I’ve really been wanting to pull out my camera more often for the pure JOY of photography – I LOVE to capture my own children and family, and everyday things that inspire me, and I’m really wanting to be more purposeful about it & challenge myself creatively in new ways. If you haven’t heard of 365-days or 52-week projects – it’s a fun way to challenge yourself to either take a photo daily or weekly for an entire year. I’m feeling that the 52-week project is more my pace. :)
With that said….the theme for my 52 week project?
Joy in people. Joy between people. Joy in my life. Things that bring me joy!
I started off the year with finding joy in color in the midst of winter.
Then, I found joy in my daughter excitedly cheering for our Hawks!!
This past week….there was joy (and exhaustion) all over my youngest daughter’s face as she prepared for her first ski lesson! (and yes, sometimes joy will be captured with my iPhone! :) )
I’m so excited about getting this project, as well as getting my new website/blog rolling……..and hope that you’ll join me on this adventure……..welcome!!!
